Biography
Peter Langer, B.A., B.Sc., M. A. is one of Canada's leading travel photographers. His photographs have appeared worldwide and have been exhibited on several continents. He is also an award-winning travel writer and is actively engaged in the international educational, arts and travel & tourism community. He has travelled to over 180 countries and territories on every continent. His professional photographic material is widely sought after by many publishers, governments and international airlines and tour operators. He is the Managing Director of Associated Media Group, a company specialized in the creation of multi-image shows, videos and photography. He successfully completed well over hundreds of audio-visual projects and print material for various industries.
He currently lectures at Simon Fraser University on topics of travel, geography, history and cultural heritage. Mr. Langer has also made a strong contribution to educational program development and implementation at the post-secondary level and has lectured on cultural anthropology, geography, art, history, travel and tourism subjects in North America, South America, Asia and Europe.
Peter Langer's photographic material and articles has appeared in hundreds of magazines and books worldwide. He is proud to include among his clients some of the world's leading magazines and publishers; advertising agencies, public broadcasters, government agencies, tourism offices, airlines, cruise lines, destination management companies and global tour operators.
Peter Langer was also the editor of the Pacific Asia Travel News, a journal of travel agents on the Asia-Pacific region, which was issued on behalf of the Pacific Asia Travel Association, PATA. He has also organized marketing campaigns and training seminars for the travel and tourism industry for professionals and consumers.
